Takedown Policy

Takedown Policy — tell us once and it comes down

If something on ColoringVemsy should not be here — your artwork, your photograph, your child’s name, a page that trades on your brand — you do not need a lawyer, a legal letter or a form in triplicate. Write to us in plain words and we act, usually within a day, and we do not argue with a genuine owner.

⚡ The short version

  • Send the exact page link, what it contains, what you own and where to reach you. That is genuinely enough to start.
  • We acknowledge within one working day and, where the claim looks real on its face, we unpublish first and ask questions after.
  • No notarised affidavit, no fee, no “cease and desist” template required — an email or WhatsApp message is a valid notice here.
  • If we took down the wrong thing, say so and it goes back up, usually the same day.
  • We cannot chase copies other people already downloaded or printed — but we will tell you exactly what we did and when.
  • Every request is read by a person, and nothing about it is published or sold.

🎨 Your artwork or line art

A page that reproduces your drawing, a character you own, a scan you made, or art used without your say-so.

📷 Your photo or your family

A picture that shows you, your child, your classroom or your shop and should not be public.

™️ Your brand or name

A page that uses your logo, school name or product art in a way that confuses people about who made it.

🔒 Safety, privacy, personal data

Home address, school, phone number, full name of a minor, a medical detail — these come down on request, no proof ceremony.

🔗 Broken or wrong content

A page that points at the wrong file, an image that fails to load, a title that mislabels the animal. Not a takedown — but tell us anyway.

🔍 Automated scraping

If a tool bulk-downloaded this library and republished it, we will help you identify the source pages so you can act on the copy, not on us.

1 What this page is for — and what it is not

This is the route for “remove or correct something published here”. It is not the place for a fee dispute, a licensing negotiation or a fight with another website that stole from you; for a licence, a print run or a partnership, the terms page says how to reach us and we usually say yes or no in a day.

It is also not an appeal against a colouring page your child found boring. 🙂 If a page is simply not to your taste, tell us and it may be relabelled or moved, but that is feedback, not a takedown.

2 Who may send a request

  • The owner of the work, photograph, name or data in question.
  • An authorised person: a parent or guardian of a minor, a school’s designated officer, an agent, a manager or a lawyer.
  • Someone reporting on behalf of a child — a teacher or a relative may ask us to remove content involving a pupil, and we will act on the substance, not on paperwork.
  • We do ask who you are. Anonymous “this must go, trust me” messages that claim somebody else’s rights are not acted on, because a real owner is never harmed by signing their name.

3 What to include

ItemWhy we need itRequired?
Exact link (URL) of the page or imageSo we remove the right thing and not its neighboursYes — one URL, straight from the address bar
What it is and where it appears on our pageSection, filename or a screenshot helps; “somewhere near the cats” usually still worksYes
What you own or are protectingThe original, with a date, a link to your own copy, or the registration if you have oneYes, in plain words — no notarised proof
Why it should not be hereNo licence given, taken without permission, shows a child, out of date, mislabelledYes
What outcome you wantRemove, unlist from search, replace with your own file, credit added, or private reviewHelpful, not mandatory
A reply addressEmail or WhatsApp so we can confirm when it is doneYes
A good-faith statementOne line: “I believe in good faith that this use is not authorised.”Yes — it keeps the process honest both ways
Your full nameWe do not publish it; it makes the request real to usYes

Copy this and fill it in — plain text is fine, formatting is not needed:

Takedown request — ColoringVemsy URL of the page on your site: [paste the exact link] Where on that page: [the image / section / words in question] What I own or protect: [my drawing “X”, made in 2024 — link to my copy: …] Why it should not be here: [I never gave permission / it shows my child / wrong attribution] What I would like: [remove it] [unlist from search] [replace with my file] [add credit] Where to reply: [email or WhatsApp number] I believe in good faith that this use is not authorised by me, my agent or the law. Signed: [your name] · Date: [today]

4 Where to send it

  • WhatsApp (fastest, and free): 0326 9909771 — international +92 326 9909771. A photo of the page plus one sentence is often enough for us to start.
  • Email (best for documents and links): contact@coloringvemsy.com — put “Takedown” in the subject line so it is not mistaken for a spam newsletter.
  • Post: only if you really must; it will be scanned and answered by email, and it will be slower than either option above.

There is no portal, no CAPTCHA, no form that expires, and no requirement to buy a service. The address above is the whole intake route for this site.

5 What happens next

StageWhenWhat we do
ReceivedWithin 24 hours on a working dayA human replies: “we have it”, plus what we are doing first
Interim actionSame day, sometimes within an hourIf the claim looks sincere and the item is easy to identify, the page is unpublished or the file is taken down while we look
Review1–3 working daysWe compare your work with what is on the page and read anything the other side sends
DecisionUsually inside 3 working daysRemoved, replaced, credited, unlisted from search — or restored with reasons and the next step offered to you
Written closeImmediately afterYou get a short note: what was changed, what was kept, and who to approach if you want to escalate
PreventionWithin a weekWe add the item to an internal do-not-republish list, so it does not quietly return with a new file name

We are two or three people, not a trust and safety department. A Saturday request may wait until Monday — but it will not wait for a form, a fee or a legal letter, and we will never answer with silence.

6 The outcome you can ask for

🗑️ Remove

The page or file goes away. A small internal note stays so it is not republished.

🙈 Unlist

The page stays for a direct visitor but is hidden from search and from our category listings — used when removal is a bad idea for children already printing it.

🔁 Replace

You send a clean version or a version you are happy with, and we swap the file and keep the link.

✍️ Credit

Where the only real problem was attribution, we add your name and a link on the page itself.

🔒 Restrict

For personal data, we remove the detail (the name, the school, the address) and leave the harmless artwork standing.

🧾 Written record

Ask and we will send a dated statement of what was taken down and why — useful for a school or a platform appeal.

7 If we removed the wrong thing

That happens, and it should be cheap to fix. Send a short counter-notice with the page link, what it actually is, why the claim does not apply, and a line that you believe in good faith the removal was a mistake or misidentification. We restore it within one working day of a clear explanation — and if the artwork was ours to begin with, we will say plainly that we were wrong and apologise for the downtime.

8 What we cannot do

  • Un-print paper. Anything already downloaded, printed or photocopied by a teacher, a parent or a shop is beyond our reach; we stop our own copies, that is all.
  • Police other websites. If a third-party site took the same file from us or from you, we will tell you what we know and confirm in writing that the material is not licensed by us — but the removal has to happen on their site.
  • Delete search-engine caches for you. A removed page can linger in a cached snippet for a while. Ask us and we will submit the removal request where we can, and give you the exact links to Google’s removal tool and Bing’s content processor, which is faster done by you as the rights holder.
  • Guarantee a court-proof chain of custody. We keep our own record of what changed and when, and we will share it — we are not an archive or a legal evidence service.

9 Search engines, sitemaps and mirrors

When a page is removed, we drop it from the site sitemap, send a noindex signal for the retired address, and — where we are able — file the removal with the main search engines. That covers our side. For mirrors, image-search results and archived copies the request has to go to whoever hosts them, and we are glad to write the one-paragraph confirmation that the file was not licensed by us, because that is usually what those notices need.

10 Good faith, and misuse of this page

Both sides have to be honest. We ask every sender for a good-faith statement, and knowingly false claims are not just pointless here: they can cost you a real dispute with the person whose page you tried to erase. We will not act on notices that are obviously automated, bulk-generated, aimed at silencing criticism or review, or used to knock out a competitor’s page. If a request looks like that, it gets one reply asking for specifics — and no removal.

11 Urgent: a child’s safety or something illegal

Do not wait for email If content here puts a child at risk, exposes an address or a school, or is unlawful, message 🟢 WhatsApp 0326 9909771 with the word URGENT and the link — we take it down first and discuss afterwards, at any hour. At the same time, contact your local police or child-safety helpline: they can act on things a small website cannot, such as following who else has a copy.

12 Privacy and personal data requests

Requests under privacy law — remove my name, my photo, my child’s school, the drawing I made — are handled on this same route. We do not require ID scans for a normal removal, we do not add you to anything, and we reply with what was changed. The privacy policy explains what little we hold in the first place; in short, the studio stores nothing on us, so most data-removal requests are answered in one message.

13 Our records, and yours

  • Notices and replies are kept only as long as the case needs, and are never published, sold or forwarded for marketing.
  • If you are a rights-holder, ask us once a year and we will tell you how many requests we received and how many led to a removal — real numbers, not a corporate gloss.
  • If you would rather be contacted by one channel only (email, not WhatsApp), say so and we will respect it on that address for future notices.

14 How we try to make sure it does not happen again

Pages here are drawn in-house or taken from sources we can point to, and every removal adds a line to our internal do-not-use list. That is not a promise that a mistake is impossible — an odd reference, a rushed week, an image that looked clean. What we can promise is that once you tell us, it is fixed, noted and not repeated, and that we would rather lose a page than argue with the person who owns it.

15 Changes to this policy

This page may be updated if the site grows, if the law changes or if we learn a better way to handle a notice; the date at the top moves with it. Continued use of the site means the current version. If a change would ever make it harder to reach us — a form, a fee, a slower promise — that is exactly the kind of change we are not going to make.

16 Contact

One person reads this inbox. A two-line message with a link is enough to open a case, and you will hear back from the same person who read it.
